Meet Chris
At the age of 24, I established my first health and fitness company, believing it was a strategic move for my future. Having recently completed my degree in Applied Sports Sciences and a Diploma in Business Management, I was ready to put my academic knowledge into practice. Navigating the challenges of starting a business was particularly demanding given the onset of the 2009 financial crisis.
Since the age of 16, I have worked with professional coaches in swimming and later triathlon who have provided both consistent support and valuable constructive feedback. That ongoing access to world-class coaching continues to shape my standards and approach. Combined with my academic training, it has enabled me to build a client base of around 40 VIP clients across three continents, all focused on improving their health, fitness, and longevity in an increasingly complex health landscape.
Through The Health Concierge, I offer a highly personalised service designed to adapt your lifestyle to your circumstances, no matter how complex they may be. I provide a comprehensive, one-stop approach to health, fitness, and well-being.
My background in health, fitness, and longevity

I was fortunate to receive a sports and academic scholarship to attend Gordonstoun boarding school. Its motto, “plus est en vous” (“there is more in you”), stayed with me. The school combined academic study with outdoor education and sport, and during my time there I won house trophies in swimming, triathlon, and athletics. I also achieved podium finishes at the Scottish Schools Finals in swimming and triathlon, became national champion for two consecutive years, and was invited to several triathlon training camps at the National Institute of Sport in Stirling.
After leaving school, I was offered a one-year contract with a Sydney-based swimming team at the Sydney Olympic Aquatic Centre, where I intended to prepare for the 2006 Commonwealth Games. However, a triceps overuse injury forced me to return to the UK for treatment and rehabilitation. Following advice from the sports medical team, I switched to triathlon, drawing on my swimming background while building strength and endurance in the other disciplines.
My love of sport came from my grandfather, who played football professionally. He taught me that discipline, focus, and a positive attitude can take you further than you imagine. That mindset was instilled in me from a young age and has shaped my approach to sport, health and lifestyle ever since.

If at first you don’t succeed try and try again.

Surround yourself with the best individuals in all areas of life and create a cohesive team, network and ecosystem together.

Fail and learn but don’t repeat the same mistakes, keep trying and never give up.

Success and life are challenging by nature. Accepting, adapting, and growing quickly leads to achievement.

Lastly, I have three words which keep me moving forward and not forget my roots: family, faith and finances…
Philosophy & Approach
I am a deeply hands-on coach and concierge who is genuinely invested in the success and well-being of every client I work with. I view each client as a reflection of my own values and standards, which is why I approach every relationship with the utmost care and dedication. My commitment is unwavering — I will go above and beyond to ensure that each individual experiences meaningful progress and true satisfaction in their journey.

I couldn’t believe it when I heard Chris was back. Since Chris left, I tried several different personal trainers and they offered very little in comparison to what he provided. I previously lost 4 stone with him and was able to go from very little fitness to running in the 10k baker Hughes and Balmoral. The initial consultation with Chris at the end of June was relaxed but very focused on me as an individual in regards to not only my weight but my health and wellbeing. He took the following stats -blood pressure, Peak flow, ECG, SAT’s (Oxygen Saturation), resting heart rate and the fit track scales to measure my body composition. This was to ensure it was safe for me to exercise and the approach we were taking would not only help me to lose weight safely but to allow both Chris and I to see progression within each session. It was very obvious his knowledge has vastly been increased due to his own experiences and research.

Chris has a strong focus on individual needs and set a challenging programme for me but within my capabilities. He monitored my progress carefully and developed the routines as time went on. I found him to be enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very caring. He really motivated me to achieve my goals by ensuring the programme was varied and by giving me regular positive feedback

Chris had a strong opinion regarding my health from the start, how I should be exercising and I quickly learnt Chris is a serious person. Having high cholesterol and being on many other medicines to reduce my hypertension and control my anxiety. I can safely say that he has changed my life and I am off all medication. His long-term approach and foresight is incredible and not to be underestimated. He plays the long game and I will always be in his debt for giving me a better quality of life, that I did not think possible 2 years ago.
Simone – Architect
I met Chris more than 10 years ago. I have never found anyone so meticulously prepared and passionate about both practice and theory of sports performance. Be it in me, an every day guy wanting to stay healthy or people who want to compete, he always finds a way to improve you. No matter if he is explaining the fine detail of how proteins are digested and the rebuilding process of the muscles or every day issues like timing of training in your busy schedule he is professional and accurate. I have seen this first hand with myself and with his friends. This is Chris´s way of life, that is why he is so good. He lives to make people healthier and more active.

There are many Personal Trainers that I could have chosen in Aberdeen but after having my initial consultation, I thought Chris was more of a fitness planner and guide. He may not like that I have catoragized him. However, I think he brings more to the table than a Personal Trainer. I have been with Chris many years now and I have watched as he has developed into an expert in many areas. What I like the most is he knows what doesn’t work, which saves time and effort on both our parts. I have heard people say Chris can be too methodical but these are people focusing on short term and cant see a bigger picture. My wellbeing is better with Chris in my life, I think that is the most important aspect of his training.
